Alex announced late Wednesday evening that her stuffed dog, Jones, who she built at the Build-A-Bear Workshop just days after Christmas 2007, would be having a birthday on Thursday. Jones apparently turned five years old on 5-29-08. We had a birthday party at the house with cupcakes for Alex and mom and pretend cake (a puzzle) for Jones. There were party hats and plates and noise makers galore!
Knox slept through the party, so we woke him later for a few pictures with the birthday "girl"???
At first Knox looked at me as if to say "you do realize that this dog is stuffed" and "really, you woke me for this"? But then in true Knox fashion, he threw out a sweet little smile for the camera.

Throwing a party for a dog. Now that is just doggone peculiar. Unlike your neighbors that have Thanksgiving on June 9th.
